Mission

Design and development of launch vehicles and related technologies for providing access to space. Design and development of satellites and related technologies for earth observation, communication, navigation, meteorology and space science. Research and Development in space science and planetary exploration. Promote and authorise private firms to play key role in global Space market.

Objectives

1. Assembly, Integration and testing of Propulsion Systems for operational flights viz. PSLV, GSLV & LVM 3

2. Developmental Propulsion System such as Semi-Cryogenic Propulsion System viz. SC120 Stage, LOX-Methane Propulsion System for Next Generation Launch Vehicle (NGLV Soorya), Gaganyaan and Inter-Planetary Missions.

4. Promotion of Space technology

5. Infrastructure / Facility Development for space research
